back to basics campaign
We are in the minimalist era—Air dried, untamed locks, un-tweezed but well kept eyebrows, and laid back feel. No need for all the glitz and patterns. Just your basic slept in, perfectly rumpled hair with that bohemian vibe we all love. No bra? No problem!
My mom's style is what influenced my own style. Seeing her look beautiful with her sun dried wavy hair, flowy outfits with just the right amount of jewelry and just the right pair of shoes made me realize at a young age that basic just works. I styled this recent look book with this beautiful simplicity in mind. So here we have the gorgeous Dallas-based model Katie Randle with my dear friend and dope photographer Travis Lilley. Together we bring you a little bit bohemian, a little bit classy, and just the right amount of basic.

on the road || marfa, tx
on the road, nothing like a classic summer road trip. driving from dallas to marfa, watching the change of scenery, listening to music, stopping in little towns for gas and snacks, laughing to stupid things, sitting in silence, making slight detours to check out random places, having small moments of feeling utterly free....the drive alone contributes so much before making it to the final destination.
first night.
searched for food and alcohol. we found alcohol but ended up at stripes gas station for dinner. no complaints. cup noodles never fails.
Lost Horse Saloon
we stayed in a cute little house in the middle of town for the first 3 nights. days and evenings were well spent. we explored the town of marfa the first day visiting locals shops and ventured out in the evening to fort davis to the mcdonald observatory star party. this was a starry night to remember. being so high up in the mountains in darkness, without city lights disturbances and gazing at the stars and planets for hours.
Freda Shop

day three.
after breakfast at do your thing coffee we made the drive to valentine to check out prada marfa.

day four.
we checked out of the house, had breakfast at boyz 2 men taco trailer then made the beautiful drive out to balmorhea state park for a day of sun and swimming at a natural spring pool. returning in the evening we checked into el cosmico. if you ever visit marfa, this spot is a must. they offer vintage trailers, tepees, and safari tents to stay in. by far the most inviting, peaceful stay. the outside shower was one of the most pleasant things i have yet to experience. we had date night at one of my favorite places ever, cochineal. brad and i had breakfast here four years ago and it's been on mind ever since. so happy we got to go again.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am excited to announce Bohemian Like Me's 1 year anniversary! In addition to this fabulous celebration, I just so happen to have returned from a two week Europe trip. From Rome to Florence to Venice to Hamburg to Frankfurt to Paris... from the coliseum to breathtaking views, to ancient towns to reconstructed cities, to art pieces I have only before seen in books, to the city of lovers where I danced the night away at Caveau de la Huchette, where Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald were known to spend their nights. With these new senses we bring you our next look book, Bohemian Wander.
I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train
